Content Marketer at Mentor Walks, Tess’s professional life is shaped by a desire to drive gender equality and build an inclusive society. Her passion and experience saw her lead the social media arm of the Teach Us Consent campaign, pulling mandatory consent education for Australian students over the line in March 2022.

She is currently completing her Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Science) at UTS and is most energised and inspired when surrounded with powerhouse women.

"I'd like guidance/advice about where to go next with my career and what I should focus on. I have skills in data, statistics, research, evaluation, assessment, and project management. My entrepreneurial interests lie within and outside of that.

I received guidance on how to resolve my internal conflict regarding pursuing entrepreneurship vs continuing on the 9-5 pathway. I also received guidance and camaraderie about navigating opportunity costs."

"How does one maintain a sense of self and purpose while navigating an unprecedented and difficult job market?

Shireen's story (my mentor) was very inspiring and does speak to possibility of enduring/being resilient in difficult times. She validated that I am already taking the steps towards my next career path, and even suggested volunteering at the university."

"I’m ready for a new challenge and would love advice on how to look for my next senior role.

It was nice to be able to talk to someone about things going through my head about my next steps. I also got clarity on whether I should specialize in my role or keep being general and change industries."

"I want to make the transition out of Marketing and into other business areas

My mentor and fellow mentees listened closely to my challenge, asked thoughtful questions, and offered meaningful feedback and ideas. They also explored networking opportunities with me; it was a fantastic way to connect with other professional women."
