Zoey Diaz

Zoey Diaz has over a decade of Global Health and International Development experience, with a wide-ranging skillset covering health service and vaccine delivery, health policy and finance, disease surveillance and implementation science. She has worked across several disciplines including vaccine preventable disease research, vaccine delivery, vaccine development, health policy and finance and implementation science. Zoey has a particular interest in the evidence-to policy-to implementation trajectory.
Zoey brings a wealth of experience in philanthropy and private capital, from a decade long tenure with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation where she managed a grant portfolio totalling over US$100m. She has a passion and a skill in building connections with diverse partner networks and has extensive experience working across sectors of global multilateral institutions, bilateral donors and local governments, International and local NGOS, multi-national and developing country business entities and world class research institutions.
Zoey currently manages Zephyr Global Health, an individual consulting firm, with a topical focus in Global Health and International Development. Her clients have included PATH, the University of Maryland, Oxford University, the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Association, Pfizer, the Worldwide Anti-Malarial Resistance Network, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her most recent project focused on program management support for the Gates Foundation HPV vaccine delivery strategy.
Zoey’s current role is serving as the Chief Executive Officer for the Cross-Sector Development Partnership Initiative (XSPI). XSPI is an Australian based initiative focused on supporting and promoting increased cross-sector partnership in Australia’s development work in the Asia Pacific region, with the vision that increased collaboration will lead to greater efficiencies, greater impact and prolonged sustainability.
Zoey holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington and a Masters in Health Policy, Planning and Finance from the London School of Economics and London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Fun fact: she is also a certified yoga teacher and, in a former life, was a massage therapist.
