Tanya has led Farmlands / Te Whenua Tāroa as Chief Executive Officer since September 2021. She brings to the business extensive experience delivering organisational change, strong financial outcomes, and performance focus to the role.

Prior to joining the co-operative, Tanya held the role of Chief Executive of MoleMap ANZ Group. She also spent 15 years with Greencross Group AUS, with her last role being COO for Australasia.

She also has governance experience, including as a director of Animates NZ Holdings Ltd, the Petbarn Foundation, and most recently, Flex Energy.

Tanya is passionate about the unique role Farmlands / Te Whenua Tāroa has in supporting New Zealand agriculture and delivering to the co-op’s purpose. She believes that, as CEO, she is responsible for ensuring the co-operative is healthy and self-sustaining for the future of New Zealand’s food and fibre sector.

Her passion and experience saw her lead the social media arm of the Teach Us Consent campaign, pulling mandatory consent education for Australian students over the line in March 2022.
