Tanya Cole is the Founder and Chief Executive of the Hessel Group which has been in operation in Australia since 1998. Starting as a home based business with two young children, passion to succeed and take risks allowed the company to grow. The Hessel Group now provides professional care both in and out of the home, training educators for employment in childcare, aged and disability through Enhance Training our Registered Training Organisation, and on site portable Creches.
Over the last 24 years Tanya has been instrumental at guiding the direction of the organisation as the Chief Executive and Owner. Tanya manages and oversees the business, staff, finances and projects. The organisation has developed to employing approximately 450 staff in 2014 when she had 6 childcare centres. Tanya’s focus has been on providing a professional caring service where communication and integrity is vital.

Tanya has been successful in winning a number of tenders encompassing Corporate, Local and State Federal Government Departments. She has maintained a high quality standard in the provision of childcare solutions, which has led to the organisation becoming accredited to ISO 9001.

One of the highlights in Tanya’s career is in 2008 bidding for six unviable Childcare Centres operated by ABC The purchasing of these businesses strategically fitted within the business framework. In 2011 an additional centre was added to the portfolio. By 2014 the centres had become a viable group with one centre in particular starting at 26% occupancy to reach 104% and another with 0% occupancy to reach 85%. In 2014 Think Childcare approached the group and offered to purchase all centres. This was accepted and completed in July 2015.
Most recently the company has become an Approved Provider for the National Disability Scheme and provides Allied Health Services. Opened another Childcare Centre and become a Group Training Organisation.
