Shireen Consultancy
Shireen Rahmani is a passionate advocate for women’s leadership and inclusive workplaces. With more than two decades of experience leading people and culture strategies, she has dedicated her career to empowering women, amplifying local talent, and creating pathways for others to lead with confidence.
As a senior leader at Roshan Telecom, one of Afghanistan’s largest telecommunications companies, Shireen led transformative initiatives that increased women’s representation in senior management from 3% to 17% and advanced localization efforts that placed decision-making power in the hands of local leaders. She has guided organizations through major restructuring and cultural change, always keeping people’s growth, dignity, and potential at the heart of transformation.
Shireen’s leadership has been recognized globally. She is the recipient of Women in Business, HR Director of the Year, and the GSMA Award for Women Leadership, and has received a Senate Award of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan for building local capacity. She also made history as the first Afghan woman named one of the “100 Global HR Leaders” at India’s World Human Resource Development Congress.
Today, as the Founder and CEO of Shireen Consultancy, she mentors emerging leaders, women professionals, and organizations navigating change. Alongside her corporate work, Shireen actively supports refugee and newcomer communities through Aga Khan Social Welfare Board for Prairies and Calgary Catholic Immigration Society. She believes true leadership is shared and that mentorship is one of the most powerful tools to open doors, build courage, and spark systemic change.
