Shez Ford is a member of Allianz Australia’s Senior Leadership Team as the Chief General Manager, Consumer. Shez is focused on driving transformation and growth through innovation, delivering exceptional customer experience and bringing new propositions to the market. In this role she is accountable for Allianz Australia’s Retail business Division. She also leads Allianz’s centres of excellence for Consumer Strategy, Digital, Marketing, insights and Programs.
Shez has over 30 years’ experience in financial services across insurance, Advice, wealth management and banking, leading large teams in distribution, product & portfolio management, operations, program management, risk & compliance and taxation. Prior to joining Allianz, Shez was the Executive General Manager Wealth & Private and as well as Executive General Manager, Advice & Insurance. She was the Managing Director of Commonwealth Insurance Ltd, Commonwealth Financial Planning Ltd and Commonwealth Private Ltd during this time. Before CBA, Shez held various roles at CBA, ANZ and ING Australia. Shez began her career with PWC and predecessor firm Coopers & Lybrand working both in London and Sydney.
Shez holds a Batchelor of Science (Hons) in Mathematics from Brunel University, London and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. Shez is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has also completed leadership and strategy programs at Duke University and a Digital Transformation Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Shez is married with 2 boys and lives in Sydney.
