Rebecca Kardos
Board Director
Alannah & Madeline Foundation and Menzies Institute for Medical Research
Rebecca is motivated by the co-creation of sustainable ecosystems in an increasingly complex world. Fostering communities, industry, employers, employees, customers and more to collectively create prosperity for future generations.
Her early career started as a computer scientist whereby she quickly found herself supporting organisations in the adoption of new technology to increase business impact. Through this, she learnt a valuable early career lesson that transformational change requires a human centred approach respecting and including everyone in the journey to maximise the impact and outcome. The technology was secondary, more important was the ability to purposefully lead transformational change, with and through people, showcasing what is possible, creating shared clarity of outcome and a pathway to its achievement.
Building on those early career learnings, she now finds herself being known for her ability to achieve impactful outcomes through her transformational leadership, human centred ecosystem approach and ability to co-create strategic pathways that effectively and responsibly navigate ambiguity and complexity.
As a leader in the transition to net zero alongside her not for profit directorships in medical research and children safety there is plenty of opportunity to collaborate and foster a stronger and more sustainable future for all Australians. With an optimistic outlook and a bias for action, she believes in the power of collective humanity to create a brighter future for all.
