Petra quit her corporate career, sold her home and moved into rented accomodation with 2 teenagers in tow 8 years ago to found Guardian Angel Safety. Creating a new niche industry specialised in lone and remote worker safety with monitored, wearable GPS devices. Now operating in Australia and New Zealand with clients such as Suncorp Group, Worksafe NZ and 30% of all NZ councils, teams in both countries and growing fast, she's never looked back. "I love this ride. I mean there are some huge challenges, especially for a woman in the tech/security industry, so it's not for the faint hearted, but I get bored easily and need to constantly innovate and change things up so while I exhaust myself, I have no regrets. Keeping this industry honest, with real safety for all our field based workers and growing a great team who are cared for and appreciated is the most rewarding experience". Surrounding yourself with like minded leaders allows for constant personal growth and support which I would never have experienced had I not embarked on this journey.
