Pearl Tang
Innovation Advisor
Amazon Web Services
Pearl is a business executive with over 20 years’ experience working across both business and tech. She is currently an Innovation Advisor at Snowflake, where she helps organisations identify, shape and build new data- and AI-enabled products and services. Her work focuses on helping leaders get clear on what to build and why, de-risking ideas early, and supporting teams as they move from concept to execution.
She works primarily with enterprise organisations across Australia and New Zealand, helping them harness and unlock new value from their data — whether through new customer products, improved decision making, or emerging AI capabilities. The role allows her to work closely with leaders navigating ambiguity, and to help translate ambitious ideas into practical solutions that teams can build.
Pearl is a judge for the Telstra Best of Business Awards, a guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne (Masters of Information Systems, Project Management subject), and a mentor for Her Tech Circle — aimed at encouraging more women to pursue and stay in careers in technology.
Prior to Snowflake, Pearl was an Innovation Advisor at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she helped organisations design and launch new products using Amazon’s Working Backwards innovation approach. Before that, she spent over 17 years at a Big Four consulting firm PwC, finishing as a senior Director and leading large-scale business transformation programs, typically as a Program Director or Program Manager.
Outside of work, Pearl is a foodie, avid traveller and cyclist — getting outdoors whenever she gets the chance.
