Pearl Tang

Innovation Advisor

Amazon Web Services

Pearl is a business executive with 20+ years’ experience working and has worked across business and tech. She’s now at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where she is focused on new product development and innovation, where her day job is all about helping customers figure out what new products or services to build that their customers will love; and then helping them get to build. She works mainly with enterprises across Australia, New Zealand and Asia (including Korea, Japan and India); and sometimes with startups. This role allows her to work with innovative technologies that can disrupt traditional industries and increasingly, deliver social change.

Pearl is a judge for the Telstra Best of Business Awards, continues to be a guest lecturer at the University of Melbourne (for the Masters of Information Systems course, Project Management subject) and is a mentor for the SheBuilds Program – aimed at getting more women into tech.

Prior to AWS, Pearl was a Director at a Big 4 Consulting Firm, where she worked in large business transformation programs, usually as a Program Director or Program Manager. She is a foodie, avid traveller and cyclist – getting outdoors whenever she gets the chance.
