Michelle is a highly experienced and trusted business partner and advisor with over 25 years of global expertise in legal, ESG (environmental, social governance), compliance, operations, risk management and governance. Her expertise spans multiple industries including aerospace, healthcare, major projects, real estate and construction, nuclear, energy, oil and gas and renewable sectors. Currently serving as the Global ESG Executive and lawyer at General Electric Corporation, Michelle also leads GE’s Global Supply Chain ESG program while overseeing the GE Global Real Estate Team. Additionally, she serves as a valuable member of the GE M&A advisory team. She has a strong passion for assisting businesses in identifying and managing complex risks (including in ESG) to deliver sustainable results while capitalizing on opportunities. Michelle brings a diverse and unique global perspective enabling her to approach challenges with adaptability and creativity.
Prior to joining GE in 2006, Michelle began her career at Ashurst Law Firm in London. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Law, a Bachelor of Commerce and an INSEAD International Directors Certificate. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Directors and a director on several Boards.
Having returned to Newcastle, Australia in 2022 with her family, Michelle embraces her personal interests in travel, adventure, sports, outdoor activities, and time with family and friends.
