Michelle Blum is the Chief Executive Officer of the Australia-Israel Chamber of Commerce (AICC) in NSW/ACT.
Michelle is passionate about fostering impactful bilateral collaborations between Australia and Israel. In particular, she is committed to facilitating valuable partnerships that draw on Israel's unique innovation ecosystem to support the development of Australia's innovation economy and entrepreneurial culture.
Michelle's background spans a range of senior management roles in the financial services, not-for-profit, and education sectors. Before her appointment as CEO of the AICC in September 2016, she was General Manager, National Operations at the Australian Institute of Management, and before that, Director, Marketing & Business Development at the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. During an 18-month relocation to London Michelle worked for an NGO managing industry-university collaborations for 8 universities across South-West London. Prior to that, she was National Marketing Manager for a major student accommodation group. She also held a range of investor and insurance product management/ communications roles at St George Bank for over 10 years.
In her early career, Michelle relocated to Ottawa, Canada for a year where she worked in management consulting, and also to Israel where she lived for 18 months studying Hebrew and Middle Eastern Studies at Tel Aviv University.
