Meriel is a commercial dispute resolution Partner based in Piper Alderman's Perth office in Australia. She works with clients in the energy, mining and life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Meriel represents global companies, publicly owned companies in Australia and Chinese companies investing in the Australian mining sector.

Meriel has a broad range of experience, advising on gas pricing disputes, joint venture disputes and complex contractual disputes. She also regularly advises clients about corporate and minority shareholder disputes and on acquisitions by scheme of arrangement.

Meriel has particular experience of leading teams advising on large cross-border disputes, having practised in London, Sydney, the Caribbean and now Perth.
