Meredith is a founding partner of the Perth office of global law firm, Allen & Overy. Meredith specialises in corporate, ECM and M&A work, with a focus on the energy and resources sector. She advises on an extensive range of both local and international commercial transactions, including takeovers, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, capital raisings, shareholders agreements, joint ventures and mining operational agreements. She is bi-lingual in French and English, giving her the ability to contribute more than legal skills to international deals. Meredith was included in the 100 Global Inspirational Women in Mining and is ranked in Chambers, Legal 500 and Australia’s Best Lawyers. She was awarded “Best in Energy & Natural Resources” at the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards in 2018 and is an integral part of the team that won “Energy & Resources Team of the Year” at the Australian Law Awards in 2018. Meredith is Allen & Overy’s Perth partner representative on the pro bono and community committee which provides legal pro bono assistance, community support including volunteering and raises funds for local and international charities. A strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, Meredith established the Perth Female Lawyers Lunch Forum series and has previously been involved with the Women in Law Mentoring Scheme with the Blackstone Society at UWA. Meredith is also a regular guest lecturer on mergers and acquisitions at the University of Western Australia.
