Liz is an experienced executive and non-executive director, with extensive governance, leadership, risk and organisational culture change expertise. Liz is Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chair of Uniting NSW / ACT as well as Non-Executive Director on the Hunter New England Local Health District Board, Chairing their Health Care Quality Committee. Liz is passionate about supporting the growth of leaders in the region and to this end currently Chairs the Hunter Region Committee of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a member of the University of Newcastle MBA Advisory Board.
Liz is an experienced CEO, having founded and co-owned SafetyWorks Group, a leading Australian Safety and Wellbeing Management Consultancy. She led the growth of the business over a 23 year period culminating in its sale to Sanitarium in 2021. Liz also founded the Executive Safety Exchange, bringing together senior Executives and Board Directors from leading Australian companies to build excellence in Due Diligence, Safety Governance and Culture Change. She has lectured (sessional) in the bachelor and post-graduate degrees in Risk and Safety at University of Newcastle.
Liz is a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia.
