Kate Towey joined the Qantas Group as General Counsel in August 2025, with responsibility for the Group's Legal and Data and Privacy Governance teams. Kate joined Qantas from international law firm Allens, where she had a 25-year career specialising in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions.

Kate also serves as a Panel Member of the Australian Takeovers Panel, and was a former Director of OzHarvest Limited. Kate holds a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Sydney.
