Kate is an experienced finance professional who has worked across a variety of industries both in NZ and offshore, with a particular passion for New Zealand growth companies looking to compete on the world stage. Kate enjoyed the fast pace and cutting edge environment that growth tech companies provided and through her CFO roles over the years, helped lead a number of companies through organic growth, offshore expansion, capital raising and exit transactions. Wanting to make use of her broad commercial experience, alongside a desire to bring greater diversity to NZ's boardrooms, Kate expanded her career into Governance with the appointment to the Mainfreight board in 2017.

Kate is currently a Director of Mainfreight, Entrada Travel Group and Freedom Lifestyle Villages. She also continues to work in a fractional CFO capacity occasionally to support businesses with capital raising or related transactions.

Kate is a people centric leader who prioritises the development and growth of the people she works with. Leaving every company she has worked for in a better place than when she arrived is a key part of her ‘why’.
