Kari’s career began at engineering firm Parson Brinckerhoff where she designed and Project Managed a range of infrastructure projects.

In 2006 Kari was asked by her father to take over the running of his well respected, but relatively small, drilling equipment supply company - Quarry Mining.

Under Kari’s leadership as the sole director of Quarry Mining, the company has become a leading Australian manufacturer, employing more than eighty tradesmen, technical representatives and engineers with operations and support staff across factories, workshops and offices in Newcastle, Sydney, Mackay and China.

Over the past fifteen years Quarry Mining has secured supply contracts with leading the coal houses in New South Wales and Queensland and has a growing export business.
Major clients include Glencore, Centennial Coal, Yancoal and Anglo American.
