Deakin University

Janet is the head of the Health Professions Scholarship Unit in the School of Medicine at Deakin University. She holds a PhD in comparative physiology and over 20 years experience in tertiary education. Her positions of responsibility within the University sector have included Course Director of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree, Faculty Academic Integrity and Progress committee chair and University appeals committee chair. Janet is involved in a number of external committees including the Medical Deans of Australia Education collaboration and the Graduate Australian Medical Schools Test (GAMSAT) policy committee. She also volunteers in the FutureMe program working with secondary students from low socio-economic areas in the greater Geelong region.
