Gill Rees was appointed Chief People and Stakeholder Engagement Officer on 2 September 2024.

She is international HR leader with over 30 years of experience, having worked across Europe, Australia and Asia in senior roles with HBOS, Lloyd’s Banking Group, and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Most recently, Gill was Global Head of HR for Transformation, Technology and Operations at Standard Chartered Bank leading the people and culture agenda for over 48,000 employees across 57 markets. Gill was also a Board member of Standard Chartered, Global Business Services, Malaysia.
