Gayle was appointed as the inaugural National Data Commissioner in 2022. Prior to her appointment, Gayle has driven nationally significant reforms in senior leadership roles in the Australian Public Service, including as CEO of the Climate Change Authority and with the Departments of Infrastructure, Environment and Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Gayle began her career as a graduate with the Reserve Bank of Australia after studying economics at the University of Melbourne.
