Div Pillay is a diversity and inclusion practitioner, leader, researcher and advocate with over 20 years of experience in gender, race and cultural equity. She leads a multidisciplinary team of intersectional specialists with lived experience as First Nations people, people from LGBTIQA+ communities and people with disability. Born, raised and educated in South Africa, Div brings lived experience of racial segregation. For more than 12 years, she has researched the covert nature of negative behaviours at work as experienced by women, migrants, refugees and asylum seeker professionals. Backed by her behavioural science and economics background, Div has worked with boards and executive teams in large private and public sector organisations as a trusted advisor into decision making affecting social cohesion and workplace safety. Div leads award-winning diversity and inclusion consultancy MindTribes, and the not-for-profit arm, The MindTribes Foundation, committed to research, communities and young people.
