CHRISTCHURCH COMMUNITY COORDINATOR (CC)

As a Community Coordinator, you'll build community and connection for women in Christchurch, growing a network that wants to stay engaged with Mentor Walks long after their first walk. You'll do this in an entrepreneurial, resourceful way, making the most of limited time and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
​
- Build relationships with women in your local community, both current mentees and women you bring in for the first time.
- Plan and deliver a lean, high-impact local marketing plan using local outreach, events, partnerships, PR and media, etc to grow awareness and community.
- Capture content and video to bring your local community to life.
What We're Looking For:
​
- A 'local' who knows Christchurch and is well-connected.
- Proven experience building communities.
- A resourceful marketer who knows how to get results with limited time and budget.
- Must be able to attend all walks and commit to 5 hours per walk, including preparation and supporting the in-person events. Walks in Christchurch are at The Kiosk, Christchurch Botanic Gardens at 7:00 AM - 8:15 AM on Thursdays on the following dates in 2026: 19 March, 23 April, 21 May, 27 August, 1 October and 12 November.

Content Marketer at Mentor Walks, Tess’s professional life is shaped by a desire to drive gender equality and build an inclusive society. Her passion and experience saw her lead the social media arm of the Teach Us Consent campaign, pulling mandatory consent education for Australian students over the line in March 2022.
She is currently completing her Bachelor of Communications (Social and Political Science) at UTS and is most energised and inspired when surrounded with powerhouse women.
