Local community and connection matter, and regular walks help women build meaningful relationships that extend beyond a single conversation.

Intergenerational insight adds depth and perspective, helping participants build the capability to navigate decisions, transitions and what’s next in their careers.

The Conversations Women Bring —
and What They Take Away

Here are some of the questions women in Brisbane brought to their mentor conversations.

"I'm a Leadership and Performance Coach, and I'd love to talk to a mentor about how I network and find new leads and more about business development.

I got practical advice to create and hone my keynote speech and start offering to speak at events as a way to build networks, show credibility, and drum up my business more."

"I'm transitioning out of my organisation and would like to begin my own business. I'm taking steps towards this but would love to speak to a mentor who has done somthing similar.

Took the advice to aim for 4-5 coffees a week with potential contacts and apply to be on the government procurement list."

"With 15 years of HR experience on a global scale in the technology area, I would like to talk to my mentor about how I can progress my career here in Brisbane with a limited network, minimal technology companies, and declining remote roles available.

I had a lovely morning! My key takeaway was write a JD for the role I actually want. Reflect on what I am actually passionate about. Find the growth in negative situations."

⎯ Chiara, Brisbane mentee

"I’m stuck in a role where I work with my husband in an all-male team and where I am unseen by some of my colleagues and by industry. How do I become my own person with ambition to go places?

I learned tactics and a new perspective on how to approach my circle and make an influence."
