AUCKLAND MENTORING

FRESH AIR & MENTORING

An hour-long walk and talk mentoring session with a small group of aspiring women, led by an exceptional female leader or executive. Women at any stage of their career are welcome, and there is no question too big or too small.

Location:  Meet at Victoria Park and walk along Westhaven Path

Cost:  $33 (heavily subsidised from $230)

What am I in for?

The concept is simple: you and up to two other aspiring mentees spend an hour walking and talking with an exceptional female mentor. It’s a safe and supportive space to discuss career questions, share experiences, build relationships and get clarity.

Whether you’re feeling stuck in your career and need change, looking to build confidence or tactics to move up in your workplace, or are simply after a soundboard and a bunch of fabulous women to meaningfully connect with, you’ll leave Mentor Walks feeling refreshed and reinvigorated.

How does it work?

The Mentor Walks magic lies in our ability to hand-match you with the mentor best suited to support you and the mentees you have the most in common with. When you book, we’ll ask you a little bit about your professional background and what you’d like to discuss. There’s no question too big, too small or too vague, and it’s okay if you don’t have a specific issue at all! The purpose of Mentor Walks is to help you get clarity and step forward.

What are the finer details?

The walk starts at 7:10am and finishes at 8:30am. Each spot costs $230, we offer this at a heavily subsidised $33.

Local community and connection matter, and regular walks help women build meaningful relationships that extend beyond a single conversation.

Intergenerational insight adds depth and perspective, helping participants build the capability to navigate decisions, transitions and what’s next in their careers.

July 25.png

"I'm a team leader and sometimes find it hard to keep the momentum going."

"I learned that I should make a succession plan to work for myself as well as my company - take control of it rather than wait for my company to do it (or not)."

⎯ Vashti, Auckland mentee

November 7.png

"I needed help on feeling confident about myself."

"I left feeling that my challenges are valid and that I can do something to change my path and how I deal with them."

⎯ Amy, Auckland mentee

March 14.png

"How to progress and grow in a niche field? I love the company I work for, but I feel stagnant."

"I loved Amanda's suggestion (my mentor) around using storytelling to provide the 'why' and be an effective communicator to stand out, that really resonated with me."
