The Conversations Women Bring —
and What They Take Away

Here are some of the questions women in our Virtual community brought to their mentor conversations.

"I'm seeking inspiration. Business has slowed down and I am reconsidering my direction. I don't want to go back to full time work but am struggling to see possibility in my business. I would find it helpful to meet others that have reimagined their work.

The perspectives and conversations helped me to see I’m not alone in my challenges and gave me inspiration and confidence to move forward. The irony is seeing a solution for someone else in the conversation and then sometimes realising it would help me too."

"Over the past couple of years, I’ve taken a step back from networking for personal reasons. I’m getting back into it now with the view to expand my network through this event.

Jo is a brilliant Mentor. Jo was extremely supportive and welcoming to all of us. We had a wonderful conversation as a group. I also made some great connections today. It was wonderful to connect and spend time networking with women who are doing incredible things."

— Mei, Virtual mentee

"I want to grow in my leadership and be able to communicate and engage the team more.

The conversation encouraged me to think differently and approach different circumstances and viewpoints from a different perspective."

— Angel, Virtual mentee

"How do I mentor and manage my assistant without micromanaging?

My mentor was a great listener and gave advice that directly answered my question about managing and mentoring. She also shared her own similar experience, which helped me gain more perspective. My co-mentee, Jess, was also helpful in sharing advice from her own experience. They both listened well and made me feel supported!"

— Beth, Virtual mentee
