Rachel is currently Executive, Exchanges & Infrastructure for InfraCo, Telstra. As a member of the InfraCo leadership team, Rachel is responsible for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of infrastructure assets including telecommunications fixed network sites, domestic data centres and pit, duct, and copper infrastructure nationally. Accountabilities include creation of a portfolio growth strategy, transforming the management of asset operations to provide an efficient world class service for InfraCo customers, rationalisation of asset carbon emissions, and optimising the value of the assets to deliver revenue growth and increased value for investors.
Rachel is a champion for diversity to bring increased growth for business and is a member of Telstra’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee as well as champion for many diversity mentoring programs.
Before Telstra, Rachel has had a career spanning 20 years in IT and Finance leadership roles ranging from CIO, then CFO, at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission, an Executive leader managing IT outsourcing contracts for Australia’s leading financial institutions, establishing Europe-wide operations and finance systems for a new start up business in the entertainment industry, and has a grounding in business reconstruction and insolvency management services.
Rachel has an MBA from Warwick Business School, a Bachelor of Economics & Arts from Macquarie University, was a State Finalist in Telstra’s Business Women’s Awards, and as part of her NED career, is the Chair of the Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation. Rachel is married with two children and enjoys outdoor activities including running, skiing, and kayaking.
