Nancy started as a trainee underwriter as a fresh immigrant from the US (a love match with an Aussie), went into sales after encouragement from colleagues, and later became the first female BDM for a life
insurance company in the late 80’s. Hard to imagine it was so rare back then.

She ran her own business for 7 years in the 90s, in Perth and sold it to come back to Melbourne and after a year-long sabbatical travelling overseas, went into recruitment in financial services for two years.
Eventually she returned to her passion, which was protection and estate planning advice to individuals and businesses who needed her help. Since then, Nancy has held positions including adviser, BDM, state insurance manager and national insurance manager.

She was a finalist for Mentor of the Year in the Super Review and Money Management Women’s awards in 2014 and was a committee member and President of Women in Finance Victoria from 1999 – 2008.

Nancy is a Non-executive Director for a disability services provider and is continuing her professional development towards more Board appointments. Nancy is also a nationally accredited mediator (NMAS), holds a Cert IV in training and assessment, and is an accredited foster carer.

Nancy looks forward to helping women achieve in their chosen field and to navigate the complex, and sometimes invisible, ‘rules’ that can hold us back from achieving our goals.
