Leeann is the Chief Executive of the Canterbury Employers’ Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber), the largest and most progressive membership business support agency in the South Island with approximately 2,700 members, representing over 60,000 employees. Leeann is a strong voice for Canterbury business and creating a thriving economy that contributes to the quality of life for the people of Canterbury.
Leeann is currently leading a significant transformation programme across the Chamber to redefine their business model, reposition their brand and ensure the organisation is fit for purpose and relevant to their members and customers in the rapidly changing world.
During 2019 Leeann was a Government appointee to the Small Business Council and Trade for All Advisory Board and in 2020 was appointed a Small Business Advisor to Government. She is a Director of the Westpac Champion Business Awards which recognise business excellence, on the Board of Trustees at Christchurch Boys’ High School and a Board member of the Canterbury Cricket Association. Leeann interfaces with the business community at all levels and across all sectors and has many years’ experience in working in partnership with both Local and Central Government.
