Kellie is an experienced innovative, commercially and politically astute professional non-executive company director but her journey to that place has been interesting! Her first paid board was during her early 30s and she has had a pretty busy portfolio (“on and off”) ever since, mixing it up with all sorts of other roles, organisations and NFPs, including founding and building one that was merged with a global NFP: “Dress for Success” .
Most of her career has been spent on the East Coast. Her career and moves between States reflect the fact she grew up in WA, took ‘career time out’ for four children (and went and lived on a farm); and has a yearning for adventure and personal growth. Her career may look chaotic but every decision or move has been made with the best intentions of continuing her evolving career,
prioritising her family (husband, 4 children and a menagerie of pets) and serving our community.
She has worked as a c-suite executive at several ASX20-300 companies, a large private equity owned business (digi-disrupter) and a mutual. She’s had exposure to many and varied industries, sectors and situations. She’s been a corporate lawyer (KWM), worked for PwC, an investment banker (US and French banks), had billion dollar plus P and Ls, budgets; and teams in various places around the world. She is a lawyer with a Masters and Finance, attended Harvard; and to further traumatise herself began studying another Masters in all things digital, rather late in life.
